Comparative Study of Indoor Navigation Systems for Autonomous Flight

    Get PDF
Recently, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have attracted the society and researchers due to the capability to perform in economic, scientific and emergency scenarios, and are being employed in large number of applications especially during the hostile environments. They can operate autonomously for both indoor and outdoor applications mainly including search and rescue, manufacturing, forest fire tracking, remote sensing etc. For both environments, precise localization plays a critical role in order to achieve high performance flight and interacting with the surrounding objects. However, for indoor areas with degraded or denied Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) situation, it becomes challenging to control UAV autonomously especially where obstacles are unidentified. A large number of techniques by using various technologies are proposed to get rid of these limits. This paper provides a comparison of such existing solutions and technologies available for this purpose with their strengths and limitations. Further, a summary of current research status with unresolved issues and opportunities is provided that would provide research directions to the researchers of the similar interests

THE IMPACT OF DEBT AND EQUITY BASED CAPITAL INFLOWS ON MACROECONOMIC PERFORMANCE OF PAKISTAN

    Get PDF
On the three sectors of Pakistan economy, there indeed is a comparatively differing impact of external debt to that of foreign direct investment. In addition, comparatively between external debt and foreign direct investment, external debt not only has a dominant and significant but also a deteriorating impact across, almost all, the three macroeconomic sectors of Pakistan's economy as defined inthis study. Conversely on a direct comparison basis between FDI and external debt, FDI has minimal and mostly insignificant impact on all the three macroeconomic sectors of Pakistan's economy. The methodology of this study comprises of Structural Equation Modeling analysis that is based on an extensive and rigorous literature review

In vitro Evolution and Engineering for Improved Ribozyme Polymerase Production

    Get PDF
According to the "RNA World Hypothesis" the first self replicating molecule formed from the prebiotic chemicals is the ribozyme. A model compartmentalized self replicating system for ribozyme polymerases is designed and used to improve activity, fidelity and generality of the enzyme

An Empirical Examination of Relationship between Pareto Principle and Stages of Leadership at University Level Ayaz Muhammad Khan*

    Get PDF
The leading purpose of the current paper was to explore the relationship between Pareto Principle and stages of Leadership Proposed by inordinate leadership expert J.C Maxwell. Through a multistage sampling technique, (N=213) dyads were chosen to support this empirical evidence to the theory. The paradigm of the study was positivism; quantitative method and survey design were used to collect data through two structured questionnaires Leadership level assessment questionnaire (for subordinates) and Pareto Principle questionnaire (for leaders). It was hypothesized that there was no significant relationship between the Pareto Principle and five levels of leadership proposed by Maxwell. The results of the current paper signposted that, “there was a significant relationship between the Pareto Principle and Five levels of leadership” Proposed by J.C. Maxwell. All the five stages were significantly correlated with the coefficient Pinnacle (r=.46), People Development (r=.37), Production (r=.41), Permission (r=.42), and Position (r=.46). Additional findings were reconnoitred that, People development level has literature support having relationship Pareto Principle with five levels of leadership

Relationship between Child Immunization and Household Socio-Demographic Characteristic in Pakistan

The purpose of this study is to document the child immunization and its association with the household, socio demographic characteristics which effect child immunization of children aged 12 to 23 months Pakistan. The analysis in this study is based on the Household level data taken from the Pakistan Social and Living Standard Measurement Survey (PSLM) 2010 - 2011 carried out by the Federal Bureau of Statistic, Government of Pakistan. Chi-square test and logistic regression is used for the analysis of data. The results indicate that in case of child immunization, not only child s age, but also child’s gender, resident of the child and he/she parents education, household income and family size plays a significant role. The gender differentials are more prominent in rural areas where negative impact on child immunization also exists due to the higher income inequality, among, household. The analysis of socio demographic characteristic provides the researchers, educationists and policy makers with a critical review of the issues at hand, so that appropriate policies and programmers can be designed for increasing child immunization in the country. Societal Perception regarding Situational Crime Prevention

    Get PDF
In this modern era, the situational crime prevention is one of the most emphasised and key concern of whole world. Devil exists almost everywhere in a society, to do wrongs or committing crimes. Therefore, a society must have some strict policies and techniques to contain these evils. The current research highlights societal perception regarding situational crime prevention. The main objectives of the study was to find out the effects of two most commonly used tools (i.e. CCTV and Street lights) on the situational crime prevention. To cater these objectives, quantitative research was conducted through survey questionnaire from Faculty of Social Sciences, Crime reporter and Criminal lawyers. In current research, data was collected form 134 respondents from participants of these three different backgrounds. On the basis of collected data, the study finds that both tools i.e. CCTV and Street lights play a key role in situational crime prevention. The study concluded that government organizations should install the CCTVs and Street lights in order to prevent the situational crime rate

A Corpus Stylistic Analysis of Speech and Thought Presentation in James Joyce’s Dubliners

    Get PDF
The present article attempts to analyze the interaction between categories of speech and thought in James Joyce’s Dubliners quantitatively and qualitatively by applying Leech and Short Model (1981/2007). Excerpts of 2000-word length have been randomly selected and manually tagged to have the accurate annotation keeping in mind the contextual potential to recognize discourse categories in Joyce fiction and then corpus software AntConc (Laurence Anthony 2018) was used to get quantitative results. The present study is grounded within three separate but interrelated disciplines: Stylistics, Discourse Analysis, and Narratology. It is difficult to imagine an example of a narrative that does not contain a reference to or a quotation of someone’s speech or thoughts. To a large extent, the way we perceive a story depends upon the ways discourse is presented. This is something hard to demarcate the boundaries between them as the various modes have the potential to slip into one another. Special emphasis is given to variations between the three modes as well as to the instances of ambiguity created by their interplay. The article also compares findings with those described in Semino and Short (2004) for their corpus of 20th-century narrative fiction.
